Ever found the sweetest frame and bought it on impulse, only to get it home and realize you’re not sure what you’ve got for a photo to put in it? Yep, me too. Take this lovely handmade thing I ran across at an occasional store not long ago. Loved it. Bought it. Didn’t know what to put in it.
The opening is about 4″ square, and I really wanted to put a pic of my hubby & me in it together, however we don’t have a great pic of us. Yet. We’ll get that taken care of with a photo shoot this spring, but in the meantime I decided I needed to do something fun with it and use it in my home decor. It’s one of my favorite pieces, but I couldn’t just set it out empty. That’d be sad. Besides, when we’ve got that perfect pic to put in, we can just peel the decal right off. Easy peezy.
That’s when I decided to flip through my Paper Riot Co. Wall Decal playbooks to see what might work perfectly in that little opening. I was pretty sure I wouldn’t find something in the Let’s Get Lost Wall Decals collection. After all, that set is mostly about outdoorsy, adventure-type stuff. To my delight, as I flipped through the pages I discovered a lovely heart decal. It’s perfection.
I simply cleaned off the glass, then stuck the adorable heart decal smack in the middle. Bam. Instant art. And, it’s the perfect time of year to be creating things using fun heart decals. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and this could make the perfect decor, or the perfect gift. That is, if you’re willing to part with it once you lay eyes on it.
